Aftercare Tips
- We recommend using High Society extension shampoo and conditioner. Which has been specifically designed to gently to cleanse, nourish and care for the hair extensions. While ensuring the bonds don't fray or slip from nasty chemicals.
- Keratin bond hair extensions must be brushed regularly with a gentle bristle brush. In the morning and evening.
- Do not go to bed with wet or damp hair. We recommend a silk or satin pillowcase to allow your hair to reduce breakage and frizz.
- Do not put oils or treatments directly on the roots of your hair where your hair extensions are attached, oils and treatments should only be used on the mid lengths and the ends. We recommend High Society Argan or and Split end serum.
- Avoid putting heat styling tools such as straightening irons or wand directly on the bonds or where hair extensions are attached (Blow drying is fine) To protect your hair from heat, we recommend High Society heat protection.
- Regular maintenance is offered in the studio to ensure your hair extensions stay perfect.
- Always wash your hair after swimming in salt or chlorine.
- Using a leave-in conditioner or serum will keep your hair extensions nourished.
- Always use low setting on heat styling tools and make sure to use heat protecting spray.
HIGH SOCIETY MAINTENANCE GUIDE
- To ensure the best care and treatment of your new High Society hair extensions, it is essential that you follow these maintenance guidelines.
- Do not wet your hair for 48 hours after your extensions service.
- This allows the bonds to settle and ensure that your extensions have bonded to your natural hair.
- Do not colour or perform any chemical services to your extensions.
- Everyone loses between 50 - 100 hairs a day, so expect to see small quantities of the natural hair loss in the bonds. This is very normal and should not be interpreted as your hair being pulled out of the scalp by the extensions themselves.
- Two weeks after your extension application you are welcome to a complimentary check up. This is to ensure all the bonds are comfortable, that you are happy with the length and volume. It may be necessary to replace a few strands if they have not settled correctly.
- If you experience bond slippage or any discomfort please contact High Society immediately.
- We recommend putting your hair into a soft loose ponytail to prevent tangling while sleeping. Using a silk or satin pillowcase will allow your hair to move freely while you sleep.
- Do not go to bed with wet hair.
- We recommend the use of the High Society hair care range, that has been specifically designed to maintain the condition of your hair extensions and protect the bonds from corrosion.
- The use of hot tools can be used on your High Society hair extensions, but keep them away from the hair bonds.
- Brush your hair regularly, this will stop matting from occurring. Like your own hair, if you do not brush it, it will become tangled. Do not use a comb or a hard bristle brush. Section the hair to ensure you are brushing right through from root to tip.
- Swimming and water activities in salt or chlorine can result in lessening the longevity of your High Society hair extensions. Immediately after getting out of the water, rinse your hair thoroughly. Shampoo and condition using High Society hair care range as soon as possible.
